Fourth of July Fireworks Safety

Fireworks are used often when a holiday or special event occurs. With the fourth of July being just about a week away. we want to inform you of some firework safety tips. Fireworks start around 18,500 fires per year, whether it be a structure fire, vehicle fire, or outside fire.

SERVPRO of Anderson wants nothing more than our residents to be safe while using fireworks.

Here are a few firework safety tips:

1. Do not wear loose clothing while using fireworks.
2. Never light fireworks indoors or near dry grass.
3. Point fireworks away from people and homes.
4. Stand several feet away from lit fireworks.
5. Have a hose or bucket of water nearby.
6. Obey all local laws regarding the use of fireworks.
