When you are leaving home for your summer vacation, the last thing you want to worry about is a fire at your home. Luckily, SERVPRO of Anderson has some tips to keep your home safe while you are away.

1. Make sure fire alarms are installed on every level of your home.
2. Check all fire alarms to make sure they are working properly and put in fresh batteries.
3. Unplug all appliances and electronics that will not serve a purpose while you are away.
4. Turn off your HVAC system when you leave to not only save money on the electricity bill but prevent any potential fire hazards.
5. Turn off your gas to prevent possible leaks.
