Charred vapor barrier in crawlspace

This home in Pendleton, SC suffered very minimal damages from a small fire, affecting the crawlspace. The customer was not positive at the time of our scope what caused the fire, but had suspicions that it was electrical. Our production crew provided the scope to get a jump start on the estimate while the homeowner had an electrician out to find and fix the cause of loss. Once the wiring was replaced, one of our production members provided another thorough scope of work before we began services. The vapor barrier in the crawlspace and some piping in the ground were charred from the fire. We assessed that the vapor barrier would need replacement and air scrubbers should be set through the duration of HEPA vacuuming and sponging the smoke and soot. Our entire SERVPRO of Anderson crew, from project manager to office staff, worked tirelessly to inform the customer step by step of the process.
